Predators shouldn't always have to raid farms to get food, I figured they needed some regular hunting grounds to hunt in too. However... not all hunts will be successful.
These hunts won't actually be for 'food', but for points!
What are the points for you ask? Well, to go towards their Hunting Ground and Top Predator titles of course!
A Top Predator is able to feed their family well! And ... who doesn't want that!?
Here's how it works.
Find a thread somewhere here in the Woodlands where someone has prey animals. You'll need to go on a .... hunt per say
When you find one, create a reply to that thread with a picture of your predator or predators that are hunting.
If you have a pack hunting at the same time, you could pick up points for everyone in the pack! Woot
You can either;
A. Have fun with it and do a bit of role play about your predator hunting for some food. Post a dice roll along with your picture.
Example-
Wind and Song pick up the scent of a Reindeer and travel deeper into the woods. Their hunger tugging at their bellies. They think of their pups back at home and how much this needs to be a successful hunt....etc.... (You can role play at each round based off of what the dice rolls are. If the prey decides to do all dice rolls at once vs the back and forth simulation, you and still role play out the hunt based off of each round's nice rolls).
Round 1
HiIFA_LP
B. Just post a picture of your pet and say '(Petz name here) is hunting (prey animalhere)' + post a dice roll for small animals or 5 dice rolls for larger animals.
Example-
Wind is hunting for Rabbits. (Pick an animal that is actually in that thread)
I mean... A sounds a lot more fun, but it's up to you!
The person who owns the thread the animals are in has 24 hours to respond. If they fail to respond within 24 hours, the predator automatically wins because they caught the animals off guard! Predators and Prey have 48 hours once the prey owner responds to finish a hunt. If not all dice rolls have been completed in 48 hours, winner will be decided off of what was completed.
Smaller animals will get one dice roll.
Example-
Highest roll wins!
Bigger animals will get 5 dice rolls, 1 at a time. After each roll, you'll need to roll for your predator again. This is to simulate the kind of back and forth attack you'd be likely to see.
Example-
Round 1 Prey
Round 2 Predator
Round 2 Prey
Round 3 Predator
Round 3 Prey
Round 4 Predator
Round 4 Prey
Round 5 Predator
Round 5 Prey
*Note... don't mind my hunting prey, I just grabbed the first petz I found in my adoption center XD
Best out of 5 wins!
So in these examples...
Wind and Song would win against the Rabbit.
Wind by himself would also have won against the rabbit.
For the big animal,
Round 1 - Wind and Song
Round 2 - Wind and Song
Round 3 - Prey
Round 4 - Prey
Round 5 - Wind and Song
Wind and Song won because they won 3 out of 5 rounds!
*Please note- When having animals hunting together, make sure it makes sense. Like a wolf pack would hunt together, where as mountain lions would normally hunt alone unless with cubs / older cubs. Stuff like that. Lepitars would likely hunt in a clan.
If your predator/s have a successful hunt, they get +3 points for small animals and +5 points for big animals towards their Hunting Ground (HG) title.
In order to get these points, you need to create a new thread in this board titled 'Petz names or pack / clan name Hunting Trip'
In that thread, post a link to the thread they are hunting in, then reply with the results of their hunting trip once the hunt has been finished. Make sure you say what the prey animal was.
After points are added to database, thread will be moved to the Hunting Trips board.
Once your predator has earned 50 Hunting Ground points, they get their HG Title!
These also go towards your predator's Top Predator Title!
